ParkAna's painting (mis)adventures

Parker and I decided to paint several rooms in our house over the last couple of weekends. We learned several lessons:
1. Painting seems like it will be fun until you actually do it and then it is awful. ParkAna are not DIYers...despite my desire to be such.
2. There is no good way to paint straight lines. When you visit our house don't look were the wall meets the ceiling.
3. Painter's tape is the enemy especially if you let the paint dry on it.
4. Painting may lead to bigger problems--like a whole in your wall (picture).

yeah that tape never works right despite their claims that you can let paint dry on it for hours and will still come off clean. I've learned that using cheap brushes and cheap paint is bad - you should use good quality brushes and paint.

I also agree with Steve. Don't use the cheap stuff, and that tape sucks. I want to try stripes in Reyna's room....but know it will look bad! Oh yea and painting does seem like fun until you actually start doing it. You're better off hiring Mexicans to do the job!
